Our journey began in 2019, before the pandemic, when one of my closest friends—our first in the circle to have a baby—asked me to decorate her daughter’s baptism. That baby was also my first goddaughter, and I wanted to make the celebration as beautiful as possible. I used what I had and added more decor while preparing for my own wedding at the same time. The setup turned out to be a hit! Friends and family appreciated what I created, and soon after, I decorated another event: my second goddaughter’s baby shower. From there, we started getting small requests from friends and friends of friends, creating balloon garlands and arrangements. It was a humble beginning, but the joy of seeing people’s faces light up when they saw the setups made me realize this could be something more. What started as a passion grew into something bigger than we ever imagined. We decided to officially start G-Kreation because we believed in ourselves—we knew we had the talent, the eyes for design, and the dedication to create something amazing. I dived deeper into the art of balloon styling, browsing Pinterest and following some of the best balloon artists in the UK and the US. Their work inspired me to push boundaries and do more. We started small in Hamilton, posting ads on Facebook Marketplace, taking on one event every two months, then one every month, and eventually every week. Before we knew it, we were doing up to five events in a single day during our busiest seasons, all while saving for our first home. It wasn’t easy, but with hard work and determination, we expanded from Hamilton to Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, and even smaller communities like Hagersville, Haldimand, and Ohsweken. After purchasing our home in the Niagara region, we kept serving our clients in the GTA and Peel Region while building new connections in Niagara region.
